"Home Schooling" Preparing The future Educator in the New Normal thru Technology
We are now facing unwanted situation right now. Especially in this coming school opening of Deped and CHED. While other schools and Universities continue thier curriculum and conducting classes to end this last semester. Like in my University, were embracing the new normal in education by pursuing thru the use of technology. There's alot of adjustment to the part of thee students and the faculty as well.
Last time we discussed about TPACK ( Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge) which is very timely right now. Us a future Educator we must grasp this new ideas of TPACK, the idea in handling online class, different strategies in teaching and preparing reliable content. Dissemination of information is very important how it done and the process. So the teachers must exceed extra effort when we talk about strategies, techniques and teaching styles because it really matter. How it be executed whether it be conventional or online. It gives also framework for the teachers to be guided and be informed in there teaching process and the learning of the students.
TPACK helps the teachers to simplify the subjects and effectiveness of the learning outcomes. today we are now more aware in the outcome of the learners. Outcome based learning through technology cannot be limit. There are so many ways to measures the learning of the students. Evaluation tools are available also through online for us to be able to know if learning take place. Sample of the tools such as blogs, google classroom, vlogs and making them a reflection. So it is for the teachers how he/she maximize the tools available in the internet. Again TPACK cannot be limit. So the teachers must think beyond normal to be able to create and applied the ideas ot TPACK. For the purpose of Education is to input new knowledge and applied it to build better community whether it be conventional or thru the use of Technology.
